Indie Lens Pop-Up Screening: The Tallest Dwarf – Winston-Salem, NC

RiverRun presents an Indie Lens Pop-Up screening of The Tallest Dwarf at Forsyth County Central Library in Winston-Salem, NC. This thought-provoking documentary follows filmmaker Julie Forrest Wyman as she explores her place within the little people community and examines family history, identity, and the medicalization of dwarfism. Through intimate storytelling, creative collaboration, and archival footage, the film raises powerful questions about disability, inclusion, and whether society should change people or the structures that limit them.

Following the screening, attendees are invited to participate in a Q&A discussion. Certified American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting services will be provided, making this an accessible Deaf-friendly event in Winston-Salem. This free community film screening supports disability awareness, Deaf accessibility, and inclusive events in North Carolina. Registration is requested.
