Community Conversation – Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf | Wilson, NC

The DSDHH Wilson Regional Center is hosting a Community Conversation at the Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf in Wilson, North Carolina. This Deaf community meeting in Eastern North Carolina provides Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind individuals with an opportunity to share communication barriers they have experienced in everyday settings. Participants are invited to speak directly with Division Director Tony Davis and his team about challenges related to medical appointments, workplaces, DMV services, courtrooms, schools, and other public services.

This ASL-accessible community forum in Wilson, NC is designed to promote accessibility, language access, and disability advocacy across North Carolina. American Sign Language (ASL) and CART captioning will be provided to ensure full communication access. Community members will have the opportunity to voice concerns, share lived experiences, and contribute to meaningful improvements in services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.
