How can observing Deaf-to-Deaf interactions improve your expressive and receptive ASL skills?
Honestly when I started observing Deaf-to-Deaf communication/interactions I noticed the use of ASL idioms, eye contact, as well as the space the signer holds for the other person in the conversation to respond. I feel that in hearing spaces/conversations its harder to pinpoint the exact place to enter a conversation or even just say a sentence to keep the conversation going, which leads to a bunch of interjecting. With the conversations I have observed, this seems to be less so.
