The Southern Dixie Deaf Campout

The Southern Dixie Deaf Campout is a family-friendly Deaf community event that brings together Deaf, Hard of Hearing, DeafBlind, ASL students, interpreters, families, and friends for a weekend of camping, fellowship, food, and fun. Held at Cedar Creek Campground in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, the event features camping from September 11–13, with a special community picnic on Saturday, September 12. Guests can enjoy great food, socializing, outdoor activities, evening s'mores around the campfire, and opportunities to connect with others in the Deaf community. The Saturday picnic includes a Southern-style meal featuring catfish, grilled chicken, hush puppies, coleslaw, white beans, Hawaiian rolls, corn, sodas, and water. Whether attending for the full weekend or just the picnic, this Deaf camping event, ASL community gathering, and Deaf social event in Tennessee offers a welcoming atmosphere for making new friends and creating lasting memories.
