Introduce children to the joy of reading and American Sign Language at Signing Stories at the Library, a fun and inclusive storytime presented by the Tennessee School for the Deaf in partnership with the Knox County Public Library. Designed for children, tweens, and their families, this interactive program brings favorite stories to life through American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English while incorporating songs, crafts, and engaging activities. Deaf and hearing families alike are invited to enjoy this welcoming community event where books are signed in ASL by a Deaf community member and read aloud in English, creating an accessible experience for everyone. If you're searching for ASL storytime, family-friendly events in Knoxville, children's library programs, Deaf community events, or things to do with kids in Knoxville, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn, connect, and have fun together.
