Second Biennial Celebrating Black Deaf Excellence

Celebrate culture, leadership, and community at the Second Biennial Celebrating Black Deaf Excellence (CBDE), an inspiring event dedicated to honoring the achievements, resilience, and contributions of the Black Deaf community. Hosted by MyASLTeacherROCKs LLC, this full-day experience brings together Deaf individuals, families, professionals, students, allies, and community leaders for an unforgettable celebration of empowerment, education, and connection.

Attendees will enjoy an exciting lineup of keynote speakers, panel discussions, live performances, storytelling, music, networking opportunities, and community engagement. Featured presenters include renowned Deaf leaders and performers such as Matt Maxey, Warren "Wawa" Snipes, Andre Robinson (DJ Deaf Tunez), and April Jackson. Throughout the day, participants will have opportunities to celebrate Deaf culture, strengthen community connections, and be inspired by stories of excellence, leadership, and advocacy.

The event is designed to create a welcoming space where Black Deaf voices are celebrated, future leaders are encouraged, and meaningful conversations about equity, accessibility, and opportunity can flourish. Free parking is available, and attendees under the age of 18 are welcome when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
