Fort Fisher State Recreation Area Beach Day

Spend a relaxing summer day by the ocean at the Fort Fisher State Recreation Area Beach Day, hosted by Coastal Deaf Social. This family-friendly gathering welcomes Deaf, Hard of Hearing, hearing individuals, interpreters, ASL students, and friends for a day of sunshine, conversation, and community at one of North Carolina's most beautiful beaches.

Attendees are invited to enjoy swimming, beach games, and time together in a welcoming ASL-friendly environment. Guests are encouraged to bring their favorite beach games, snacks, drinks, and a canopy or tent for shade. Restrooms and vending machines are available on-site, making it easy to enjoy a full day at the beach. Organizers recommend arriving early to secure parking.

After spending the day at the beach, participants are invited to continue the fun by joining the group for an optional dinner at a local restaurant in Wilmington.
