The Family Silent Dinner in East Ridge, TN is a welcoming monthly social event designed for families with Deaf and Hard of Hearing children who are learning American Sign Language (ASL). This Deaf-friendly gathering provides a relaxed environment where children, parents, and caregivers can practice ASL together, meet other families, and build community through shared experiences.
Hosted on the 3rd Friday of each month, the Family Silent Dinner encourages connection through ASL conversation, visual communication, and supportive peer interactions. Families at all signing levels—beginner to fluent—are invited to participate. The event emphasizes community, friendship, and the beauty of ASL, creating a safe and inclusive space for both Deaf children and hearing family members.
