Emergency Preparedness Workshop

DSDHH Asheville Regional Center is hosting an Emergency Preparedness Workshop for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind Communities in Asheville, North Carolina. This accessible community workshop is designed to help individuals prepare for emergencies such as tornadoes, fires, floods, landslides, and other disasters while learning practical safety strategies for themselves, their families, and their communities.
The workshop will provide an interactive learning experience focused on emergency readiness, disaster planning, and community safety. American Sign Language interpreters and CART captioning will be provided to ensure communication access for Deaf, hard-of-hearing, and DeafBlind attendees. Light refreshments will also be available during the event.
