Eastern NCRID Fall Camping Trip at Goose Creek State Park

The NCRID Eastern Region invites friends from the Deaf and interpreting communities to enjoy a fall camping weekend at Goose Creek State Park in Washington, North Carolina. The Eastern NCRID Fall Camping Trip will bring the community together for a weekend of camping, outdoor activities, socializing, and exploring the beautiful surroundings of Goose Creek State Park.
The weekend begins with Friday evening check-in, followed by a full day of activities on Saturday. Participants can enjoy yard games, outdoor activities, time exploring Goose Creek State Park or Downtown Washington, NC, and an evening S’mores Social. Those who are unable to camp overnight are still welcome to attend the Saturday activities and spend the day with the group.
This Deaf community camping event in North Carolina is free to attend and welcomes friends of Eastern NCRID from both the Deaf and interpreter communities. Registration is required by September 30, 2026, including for those attending only on Saturday, so organizers can prepare for the expected number of participants.
