Deaf EMT in Action: CPR, First Aid, and Life-Saving Skills is an educational community event designed to empower Deaf and hard of hearing individuals with essential emergency response knowledge and practical life-saving skills. This interactive workshop features Deaf EMT Asher Hasty, who will share his personal journey as a Deaf emergency medical technician while providing instruction on CPR, first aid, and emergency preparedness.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn important life-saving techniques, gain a better understanding of emergency response procedures, and explore how CPR and first aid can make a critical difference during medical emergencies. The event promotes health education, community preparedness, and accessibility by providing emergency training in a Deaf-friendly environment where communication and learning are fully accessible.

Sponsored by Rooted Connections, this free community event encourages individuals and families to become more confident in responding to emergencies while strengthening connections within the Deaf community.
