Deaf Awareness Day at WNC Nature Center

WNC Nature Center will host Deaf Awareness Day on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, in Asheville, North Carolina. ASL interpreters will be available at docent stations and during public animal programs, providing greater access for Deaf and Hard of Hearing visitors throughout the day.

Visitors can explore the WNC Nature Center, learn about native wildlife, participate in educational animal programs, and connect with nature in an ASL-accessible environment.

Tickets may be purchased at the gate. Zoom passes may also be available through participating regional libraries. Contact estrull@ashevillenc.gov for more information.
