Deaf Awareness Day! - Carolina Renaissance Festival

Deaf Awareness Day at the Carolina Renaissance Festival will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, in Huntersville, North Carolina. Hosted in partnership with LanguageLine Solutions and Central Piedmont College, this special accessibility event offers members of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community the opportunity to enjoy a fully immersive renaissance festival experience with interpreted performances and discounted admission.
Certified ASL interpreters will provide interpretation for select stage performances throughout the festival village, creating an inclusive and accessible environment for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and hearing guests interested in Deaf awareness and ASL accessibility. Families, friends, and community members are invited to enjoy entertainment, food, shopping, games, and live performances while celebrating inclusion and Deaf culture at one of North Carolina’s most popular annual festivals.
Special discounted admission offers are available for Deaf and Hard of Hearing community members, families, and friends. Adult tickets for ages 13 and older include a $13 discount, and children ages 5–12 receive free admission with a promotional code for October 10 only.
